St Louis Preferred Workplaces: Geography

This blog focuses primarily on staffing and recruiting, and because of my background, it relies heavily on my knowledge of third party staffing and what I gleaned from the outside.

I'm always curious as to the impression of local candidates about St Louis.  Some things I know.  A permanent job at Anheuser-Busch is still considered a prime choice - something your mother can brag to her friends about.

Enterprise, Edward Jones, Graybar, Energizer, Sigma Aldrich and Boeing and  are all considered long term jobs - people who have positions there tend to stay there long periods of time.

If you live in South County, you want a job at Maritz, AB (at Sunset Hills), or Unigroup.  Kirkwood and Webster homeowners prefer jobs in Clayton.  St. Charles homeowners want jobs at Citibank, Mastercard, or Enterprise in Weldon Springs.  Illinois residents, if they can't get jobs at Scott AFB or in the defense industry, want jobs downtown.

What other places are considered top choices for jobs?  Any geography I'm missing?
