SQL Administrator Position

Working in a SQL Administrator support capacity, you will provide high level knowledge, planning and implementation assistance to the current leadership team and report to the Manager of Software development. You will primarily be responsible for supporting enterprise class systems from administration of SQL Server 2005 as well as the development of stored procedures, SSIS packages and SSRS reports and other advanced technologies. Our team works a normal 8am to 5pm shift and is a business casual environment.
You will need to have a keen interest in learning new technologies on a regular basis and an aptitude to implement them from self learning when necessary. Technical support, system administration and remote end-user assistance will be necessary in this role.
You will act as the primary SQL Administrator for the company server farm co-located at a Data Center in St. Louis. You will focus on our business continuity implementations and operations and ongoing documentation.
You will be one of the contacts and administrators for all operations, implementations and support for the contact center and will be actively involved in the build and design of our subsequent contact centers as the business continues to grow.
MUST HAVE TECHNICAL SKILLS/POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
• MINIMUM 24 months of SQL Server 2005 experience
• MINIMUM 24 months of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) experience
• MINIMUM 24 months of SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) experience
• MINIMUM 36 months experience with SQL Stored Procedures and T-SQL
• MINIMUM 12 months experience with Microsoft Visual Source Safe
OPTIONAL SKILLS and EXPERIENCE:
• Visual Studio 2005 experience
• ASP.NET 2.0 development experience
• Experience with multi-layered architecture
• Experience with object oriented development
• Experience with 3rd party UI controls such as Infragistics or DevXpress
• AJAX (Either custom or the Microsoft ASP.NET AJAX)
Additional non-technical requirements:
• Requires a college diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or computer engineering and/or _ + years equivalent work experience.
• A profound ability to manage details and document solutions.
• A keen interest in ensuring a working and reliable solution is always met.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal skills (strong English language skills are essential) and relate well with end-users and management-level personnel.
• You take initiative, are a self-starter, enjoy independence and value working in a team-concept where collaboration and information sharing are important.
• A background in Project Management is a definite benefit.
