Server Side Java Developers To Work In Los Angeles

One of the toughest things to find in St Louis are high rates for Java developers. Rates are so often stuck at $40-60, that our best talent often goes to the coasts to find work.

So when in Rome....A friend and client of mine has a project in Los Angeles, and is looking for smart server side developers who can work on a team to build the back end of an online community.  You will be coding, but you'll also be using your brain.

The work is about six months (could go longer), and your flights, car, and a $100 per diem (room/board) are included.  Fly in, fly out - spending 8-10 days in LA a month.

- 1099 contract arrangement
- Around 6 months of work, may go longer
- Payments every 2 weeks

What we're looking for:
- Need Java developers, not "architects."  It's okay if you're an architect, but you're being brought on to code, not plan out.  You have a smart boss and a good plan, so don't worry about nonsense.
- Active coding position
- 3-5 years server-side Java
- Patterns
- Clustering and scalable computing experience
- Nice to have Adobe Flex.  Really nice.
- Team is an Agile team.  We're not looking for people who are into RUP or waterfall design.

If you're interested, shoot an e-mail to socialmediaheadhunter@gmail.com, or send me your Skype contact.

Looking For Java Contractors To Fly To LA

Marketing Position With Established Design Company

I'm working with a small business located in St Louis that is looking for a marketing whiz to take their substantial competitive advantages and turn them into new business leads.

This 10 person company is run by an entrepreneur, and has seen steady growth for the last five years, with positive cash flow, a well run operation, and a reputation for service and quality.

The company sells a high-end design product that retails in the $20-$25,000 range.  The company currently only uses Yellow Pages and Direct Mail, although they have used multiple marketing packages in the past.  Your monthly marketing budget is $15-20,000.

This is an internal position at the home offices in South County. The office is moving to a more central location in the next year (they're looking), and remote work is possible.

You need 5 years of broad-based marketing experience with small businesses, selling a high-end luxury product or design services.  Experience with direct mail, media buying, online marketing, and copywriting is essential.  Your creative and web design services are taken care of, which leaves you responsible for vision, strategy, tactics, and execution.

You must be a result-oriented marketer with the ability to explain what you're doing without marketing speak.  I'd say detail oriented, but you're the type of person who labels their sock drawer, so asking you to document what you're doing shouldn't be that hard.

And if you can't forecast and track the ROI of your program, then you probably shouldn't be in marketing anyway.

If you're interested and want to hear the salary range, send an e-mail titled Design Marketer to socialmediaheadhunter@gmail.com with a description of your experience marketing high-end products to the consumer.

Adding Yourself As A St Louis Candidate

My Sendouts database is live, and I'm now accepting resumes for St Louis searches.  I'm focused on social media, which includes SEO, SEM, social media, Web Analytics, e-commerce, and related fields like graphic design and UI design, but I do take the occasional search from friends and former colleagues?

How does this benefit you the reader?  Simply use this link to add yourself to my database and update your profile.  Sendouts notifies me each time it happens, and I regularly go through those messages to see who added their name.

I am a recruiter, which means I work for the client (who pays me). I can't be a career counselor, but if your skills match a search I'm working on, I'll be contacting you for sure. To add your name and upload a word or text resume, follow this link to the Social Media Headhunter database, and be sure to follow the Social Media Headhunter blog  or the Twitter feed.

Monsanto Hiring A Social Media Specialist

I was pleased and surprised to see that Monsanto is looking to hire a social media specialist. It's a position in their Public Relations department (a good place for a social media specialist), and it's a good sign for my recruiting practice in social media that companies are looking to hire these positions with these titles.  A list of some of the duties are not bad.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring and tracking of online media, blogs, and social media sites
  • Analyzing and reporting on trends in online discussions
  • Working with internal and external communication teams to develop social media outreach strategies
  • Working with internal teams to consult and educate on new online developments and tools
  • I even like the Monsanto colors on the text (it's good branding).  What I don't like is the rest of the job description, which  pretty clearly lays out that this is an entry-level position where your job is basically that of an intern.  It seems someone at Monsanto has bought into the idea that hiring a 23 year-old with one year's experience and a knowledge of that "social media stuff" is a good way to get involved.

This is a common mistake for companies, who assume (wrongly) that young means social media savvy. it's also a way to pay very little for important research.

    The  skills needed?

  • Do you have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
  • 1 or more years of relevant professional experience
  • Translation:  We want to hire someone cheap who can monitor blogs for us and we'll call them our social media expert.  We don't want to hire a new college graduate, but we don't want to pay much.  Here's the problem.

I can't tell if Monsanto has their own blogs - if they do, they are poorly optimized and need some professional help, as they don't show up in a search.  What I do know is that Monsanto is a favorite target of environmental activists, and considering the impact of Monsanto on the agricultural world, it's astounding that they don't have a full social media strategy in place.

Social Media Candidates For The SMHeadhunter

I want to talk to you.

If you are looking for a social media job in St Louis in the following areas:

    Social Media
    SEO
    SEM
    Web Analytics
    Online Marketing
    PPC
    Blogging

I'm building my database, adding candidates, and actively reaching out to clients with these needs.  Here's the thing - I do what you do, which means you'll be working with a recruiter that understands the technology and the marketing piece of your business.  But it also means that I understand the technology and marketing piece, which means you won't be snowing me with industry jargon.

Some of these jobs are in St Louis - some are elsewhere - I won't be doing relocation for contingency search, but I will work with remote candidates in the right areas, and I have clients on both coasts, north and south.

So if you're in St Louis and want to be in touch with the Social Media Headhunter, e-mail me or subscribe to the blog, socialmediaheadhunter.com.  Follow me on twitter at twitter.com/smheadhunter, or check me out on Skype at smheadhunter.

Right now - if you an SEO consultant, I have some options for you.  So don't be surprised if I call.

VP Marketing Role In St Louis

One of my clients is looking for a VP of Marketing to generate business leads.  This is a contingent search, and I'm recruiter.

This is a start-up company located in St Louis, involved in the GPS Tracking business.  The company has been around for over a year, is funded, and basically needs someone who is prepared to run a full-scale marketing program.  The product is sold over the phone and online nationally.  The sales process is short, and the primary markets are small businesses with employees who drive company vehicles.

    What I'm Looking For:

Expertise in running PPC, SEO, direct mail, telesales and online marketing.  Experience in social media would be nice, but only to the extent that it improves your online profile.
Self-Managed:  This is a position for someone who doesn't need a lot of hand-holding.  You should be able to create, design, and execute a marketing plan that helps this company add new customers.
Proven Track Record: You must have a proven track record of success in generating new leads.   That is the primary purpose of this assignment.
Sales experience:  The best candidate would also know how to close over the phone when needed.  Your ability to do so will greatly increase your salary.

    Compensation:

I have three levels of salary I'm willing to present, based on the kind of person I found.

Level 1:  $50K:  Skilled online marketer.  Good at generating new business leads
Level 2:  $70K: Marketing and Sales, plus a bit of management experience to put into place in the future
Level 3:  $????   Marketing, Sales, and part of the Executive Team.  You're just waiting for the right opportunity to seek your teeth into.  You've done this before, but you can also speak to board members, the press, and build a team as the company grows.

There is also an equity stake available that vests over time for the right candidates.

Your Marketing Budget:  You're starting mainly from scratch - there's marketing collateral and a decent PPC campaign, but you really need to come in and plan out the next 6 months to a year.  You'll start out with a $15-20,000 a month budget, but that can expand if you start to show results.

    Your Boss
:  Direct report to the President.  He's a software consulting expert from a couple of degrees, business savvy, and previous management experience under his belt.  He's smart, aggressive, and wants someone who sees this opportunity and wants to be a part of it.

If this is you, or someone you know, have them contact me at jdurbin@durbinmedia.com with the Subject VP Marketing, or have them call me by searching his site and finding the number.

Chameleon IS Looking For Program Recruiter

We're adding another recruiter to our staff at Chameleon Integrated Systems.  This recruiter will be dedicated to filling positions on three of our programs in the Washington DC and Kansas City areas.

Attention to detail.  Able to follow strict governmental procedures and processes. Independent minded, not requiring daily management.  Must keep up with paperwork and on-line systems. MUST BE ABLE TO PIPELINE RECRUIT.

Prefer someone working out of our St Louis office but could work from home in KC or Washington DC.

In real simple terms - he needs a real recruiter who can self-manage.  Mike is a great guy to work with - as a boss, it doesn't get much better.  He's even a blogger.  To contact,  send an e-mail to mtiffany@chamleonis.com

    • 4+ years full life cycle IT recruiting experience
    • Proven Track record of placing individuals within the IT industry
    • Experience calling on all levels of IT Candidates
    • Knowledge of the local St. Louis Market

It's a confidential search for you, but do mention where you read this if you call him.

Independent Recruiter Needed In St Louis

If you are an independent technical recruiter who needs fillable contract reqs, I have something for you.  A company is looking to utilize a St Louis contact to work on local requirements.

There's one major client they are looking to work with, so if you don't have a messy non-compete, and your non-solicit doesn't cover this client, than you are in luck.

It's going to be a commission, outsourced job - so you need to know how to run your own recruiting shop, but you get exclusive access to a dozen reqs a week.  It's perfect if you're starting out, struggling, or just want to supplement your permanent business with ongoing billable hours.

In fact, that's what I think would work best - a permanent search recruiter who wants some contract technical reqs to work on.

Interested parties should e-mail me at jdurbin@durbinmedia.com, and I'll pass you on to the right person.

    Account Manager Opening

A local staffing recruiter (to St Louis) has an account manager position to fill.  His description:

Selling staffing services can be very lucrative if you have the good fortune to be in a true performance based compensation plan. Many Account Managers work 55-60 hours a week and barely earn 60k-70k per year. This is the equivalent of earning 40k per year with overtime. Aren't you worth more than that?

In my years of staffing recruiting, I have seen the very best to the very worst of compensation plans. Working for a company with a true performance based compensation plan can be the difference between earning 70k per year or 130k per year without increasing your sales effort. If you are interested in hearing about opportunities to earn substantially more by working smarter and not harder, contact me. I would love to discuss in detail.

If interested - shoot me an e-mail or resume or LinkedIn profile, and I'll pass you along to the recruiter.

ERE Job Feed For St Louis

David Manaster sent me an interesting feed. It's a list of jobs posted at ERE for the St Louis area.  That link takes you to a map that shows you the jobs, but it's also available as a feed.

There are only three, but that's because you folks aren't posting jobs at ERE.net like they are in other cities.  It's a neat feature, and closer to what I imagine will be the future of job posting and map aggregation.  ERE.net is a place for recruiters and HR folks, so the jobs that you see are targeted, just like the audience of StlRecruiting is targeted.

CareerBuilder Still Using Old AdAgency Ads

CareerBuilder is the number one job board in the world.  They got there on the strength of an ad campaign developed by Cramer-Krasselt. You all should remember Monk-Email, which if I understood correctly, was partly a St Louis creation (a woman who worked on the account was at the latest St Louis Interactive Community meeting).

Cramer Kesselt and CareerBuilder had a bit of a falling out when CareerBuilder decided to put the ad account up for review after the SuperBowl, purportedly after a snap poll on a website failed to give the Office-Jungle Wars theme the top spot.

Cramer Kesselt was so angry at this, they told CareerBuilder to get bent, and fired their client.  Since then, Cramer Kesselt has been doing quite well (as reported by Jeremy Mullman in AdAge).

Careerbuilder, who apparently has no shame, is still running the commercials.  I just saw "Performance Review" on Fox for the St Louis/San Francisco NFL game.

The "It's A Jungle Out There" commercials are all at the Careerbuilder website.  I personally like them, and they've really grown on me for their cleverness. It's another brilliant take on the brutal nature of client/employee relations.

I'm just surprised that Careerbuilder is still running them.  I know they paid for them, but what kind of agency is going to work with them in the future?  And kudos to Cramer Kesselt.  Firing clients who don't appreciate your work is a sign of strength.

Jasen Morisaki has a new position he's trying to fill - it's not a straight recruiter position - and it was interesting enough to post.  It's called a consulting manager, and they're looking for a recruiting or salesperson whose tired of making cold calls, but happens to be really good at candidate management.  The position will basically be a liaison between the company and the contractors.

It's a salaried position:  $50,000 plus bonus - so less than hotshot recruiters make, but a different job.  I know a lot of people who might jump at it.  The description is below the fold.  Interested people can apply at iBridge.

    Branch Manager And Recruiting Positions

Got a call from Brent Gobrecht  - he's a staffing recruiter with two St Louis positions, and he was curious about referrals in the St Louis area.

    1) He's looking for a senior IT Recruiter to work with an established firm.

    2) He's looking for a non-selling branch manager.  No quotas for you, but they do expect you to go on sales calls with your AM's as part of your job duties. This is a fully staffed team - not just two or three people.

Looking for a Non-producing Branch Manager to oversee both a recruiting and sales team for a $100+million dollar national IT staffing firm.  Person will be responsible to oversee an established branch in St. Louis.  Person should have 5 + years sales experience within the IT industry with at least a year of management or mentoring.

If this fits you, give Brent a call (215) 795 0220 and tell him where you heard about the job:

They're Catching On: Social Media Consultants

I have a Monster alert set for blogs and blogging - for the last two years, it's been pretty worthless - most of the positions have been entry-level, with the ability to read blogs thrown into the job requirements but not a vital part.

Today - AMN Healthcare is looking for a community manager for a social media platform.  The job description actually reads like something I would have written if I were looking.  It's in San Diego, but it's another example of how companies have adjusted to the reality of blogging, and are looking for ways to take advantage of it.

Nurse staffing is an entirely different field from tech staffing, so it's too early to tell if it will catch on as quickly as if a major third party firm in technology tried it, but I'm willing to bet that we're going to start to see more communities built around a company brand.

    Congratulations AMN. Good Luck.

The recruiter, Sarah Beauerle, has been on several social media blogs dropping her name and asking for referrals (Very smart of her to target Nathan Gilliatt).

Sarah has the hiring manager answering some questions, but here is her job posting as found on Crunch Board.

    PURPOSE OF JOB:

Fleishman Hillard Social Media Expert: Questions Answered

Last week, I ran across a posting for Fleishman Hillard looking for a social media expert here in St Louis.  Intrigued by the position, I posted it and made some comments about hiring social media gurus, which was picked up  several other sites and extra questions added.

Well, Betsy Beard, a recruiting manager at Fleishman, left a comment thanking me for the post, and she agreed to answer an e-mail list of questions about the positions.  I have to say, I'm more than pleasantly surprised at the responses. Keep reading for a job position description the way they should be written, and if this is you, please drop a line to Betsy at betsy.beard{at}fleishman[dot]com.  And cc me if you do - I'd be curious as to your thoughts when you interview.

    Good Luck, Betsy.

    The Basic Job Description:

In plain English, tell me what I’m actually going to be doing for Fleishman, or if I get to create the position.  How much flexibility is there on what needs to be done?

Fleishman-Hillard is one of the world's largest international public relations firms.  Our core competency is media relations, so companies engage us to create and distribute communications campaigns to their target markets. You will be monitoring social media sites and blogs to find out what is being posted about our clients and competitors. You will also be consulting our clients and keeping them current on the best places to post based on their target audience. You will be seeking out influential bloggers and developing relationships to stay up-to-date with the fast paced changes happening as well as looking for new social media sites.

What is my manager like.  Do they understand social media, or am I going to be managing my manager for the first few months?

Your manager is AWESOME!  He definitely understands social media but this is a newly created position on his team.  You will be the first of three new media consultants joining his group.

Has anyone else done this position for Fleishman Hillard before?

Yes, we've been doing this for awhile, just not in this particular group.  This role is most common in our research, creative, and digital divisions.

I’m going to rattle off a few names here – do they sound familiar? Twitter, Flikr, Typepad, Wink, Photobucket, Techcrunch, ValleyWag, Technorati.  Does anyone at Fleishman know what these are and use them?

Yes, yes, and yes.  We are very familiar with these sites.  We have a whole team solely dedicated to monitoring second life.

What is the salary range?  Do I get bonuses for bringing new projects or billing extra hours?

We don't have salary ranges, we pay for talent.  That being said, this is a mid-level position.

    How much travel is involved?

    Very minimal travel.

Do my duties as a social media expert consist of doing the job, or training clients to do so?

You will be doing the job.

    The Tough Questions

What kind of internet access does Fleishman have?  Are there any blocked feeds or websites?

Nothing is blocked.  We are monitored but we are free to go to any websites we choose.

What is the work from home policy?

There is not a lot of flexibility to work from home.  I know some people do telecommute, but that's not the norm.

Will I be asked to create or post on fake blogs or leave fake comments?

    Not to my knowledge.

Do you have a corporate blogging policy in place?

Yes, in a nutshell -- use common sense and don't post anything negative about the company, co-workers, or clients.

What about my personal activities?  What happens to current blogs and current properties I have a stake in?

You are free to continue posting on your personal blogs and websites.

Will I be signing a non-compete or a document that says Fleishman will own anything I create while I work there?

Nope, but we have client confidentiality agreements.

Do you have other social media and Web 2.0 types there that I can learn from?

Yes, but at this point they are mainly in other groups.  FH is a team environment, and I really mean that, so it is encouraged to work with other groups and offices to learn as much as possible.

    The Important Details

Do I get a cool laptop?  Mac or PC?

You are provided with a Dell laptop.  If you need a Mac laptop we can provide you with that too.

    What is the dress code?
    Business casual.

Which IM client do we use?
    Yahoo.

How far away is the nearest Starbuck’s?  Is there a local coffee shop I will be able to visit?

Starbucks is within a block.  We are located downtown so there are a ton of restaurants within walking distance.  The restaurant in our building, Dolce, has a great happy hour from 5pm-9pm with $2 Bud's and 1/2 price appetizers.

    What about parking?

We pay for your parking.  You will get a parking pass to Kiener East garage which includes in/out privileges.  I use my parking pass when I come downtown for Rams and Cardinals games on the weekends.

Durbin Media Group Is On The Prowl

We admit it.  We can't do this all on our own.  We need help.

Specifically - your help.  For those who have been reading StlRecruiting for a few years, you know that I joined my wife's interactive marketing firm in January of last year, bringing my skills in social media and blogging to her interactive marketing expertise.

Since then, we have been busier than a one-armed paper hanger, working on projects for product, marketing, staffing firms, PR firms, corporate blogs, and social communities.  Our real strength has emerged in concepting, designing and executing targeted communities of interest.

If you want to build a loyal group of online evangelists for your product, service, or employment brand, we're the people to turn to, not just in St Louis, but nationwide. Our clients in the last year have been in New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, San Jose, Seattle, Chicago, Minneapolis, and New Zealand.

So why am I writing this?  We need some help.  We've been scheduling work out as far as four months, and in many cases, have been passing on work for current clients to competitors because we just can't get it all done.

We've decided to move from a two-person consulting firm focused on quality to a full-fledged interactive agency focused on quality.  Our goal is to find talented web designers, social media consultants, and copywriters who want to work with two cutting edge talents on fresh projects.

Our process is simple.  We want dependable, creative, and fabulous Web 2.0 people to work with us, initially as project based, but eventually as full-fledged contractors or employees.  We will be heavily involved with the work, and can either bring you projects you work on independently, or farm out web work as it comes in.

To ensure quality for our clients, we will be monitoring and signing off on all projects - but if your quality is good (clean code, beautiful design), we can serve as your selling and accounts payable (and collections) arm.  Basically, we're going to build an agency from the ground up.  Initially, we need a CSS 2.0 designer or two, but if you're talented, we can find work for you.

So why would you work with us?  Because we can make you better at what you do.  Working with us means joining a team of creative people - our goal is to make you better, work hard, and deliver a great product.  All of our business is referral based, and we live off our reputation.

If you're interested, forward us an e-mail with a list of your skills (don't bother with a resume), some url's of projects you've worked on, and what you're looking for in an hourly corp-to-corp or 1099 rate to info [at]durbinmedia{dot}com.

Our website is http://www.durbinmedia.com, and our blog is http://www.brandstorming.com.  For examples of what we do, check out http://www.lifeinaventicup.com.

    HTML/CSS Developer Needed

We're in need of a front-end web developer with experience in HTML and CSS to convert a design we produced into readable format for another software.

The design is finished - all ready to go - and what we need is someone who can look at the design and convert it from the comps to a developed website.  You can work onsite or freelance, but we'd like you to have experience designing corporate websites, and will require references and url's of your actual work.

You'll be working with the client directly, and working your billing through him (it's okay, they pay).  You will be required to interface with the IT staff, with minimal direction from us (we're not getting paid for this).

    Requirements:
Clean code. If you have to ask, or want us to judge your code, then you're not the right person.
Customer-centric.  This work is for one of our clients, and we're not passing over anyone who doesn't finish projects or who doesn't play well with others.
Urls:  links to three sites you've built in the last year, and references to two of the people you built the site for.  If this is freelance for you, someone you work with will be fine.
Rate:  This is easy work, and we're passing it on because we lack the bandwidth to do it in the timeframe necessary.  Include your rate in the e-mail.

    Not required:
    Resume
    print portfolios
url's of sites you did from 1997
url's you didn't actually work on yourself.

Contact us at info@durbinmedia.com if you're interested.  We actually have a lot of this work come our way, and sometimes can't handle it.

    Java Referral Bonus Plan

IBridge Solutions is hiring Java Developers.  A lot of them.  And for a special, limited time offer only, they are offering a $3000 referral bonus or a $3000 signing bonus (one or the other) to help them fill a big order.

The job details are a bit sparse, but that's because this is a double Top Secret program.  The pay range is $85-90,000, and you would be an employee of IBridge.

To work at this facility, the developer must be able to show proof of either US Citizenship or have a Green Card.  If you are that person, or if you know someone like this, check out the Java positions (they should be up shortly) at http://java.stlrecruiting.com and look for Jasen's contact info.

Mortgage Loan Officers: Referral Bonus of $3000

Boy do I have something for you.  I spoke with a mortgage company manager who is looking to start a new mortgage company in St Louis.  He has three loan officers, but needs three more, and was curious about our free job postings.  The description you read below is awesome - it's exactly what companies should copy when they write job descriptions.

A plain language job posting.  Who could ask for more?  Well, how about a $3000 referral if you refer someone, and they are hired and stay 90 days.  That's a lot better than the $200 or $300 most companies offer.

    Here are the Basics:

    Title:  Mortgage Loan Officer
    Location:  South City, St Louis

Requirements:  You need 2 years of experience, preferably in a broker setting.  2 years in a bank qualifies, but is not quite the ideal candidate.

You must know HOW to process your own files.  You won't be - there's  a loan processor for that, but you have to know how to do it on your own.

    Production Volume:
You need to be closing 3-5 loans per month, which means you have to be a self producer.  The owner is going to be spending a lot on advertising and marketing to increase your production another 2-4 files per month.  You have to be willing to work the hours necessary to meet and exceed company goals.

Target Market:  The company will focus on subprime loans, but they do have many places to go for prime loans (advertising and marketing will be focused on subprime).

    (keep reading - there's more)

Don't send me your resume - I'm not interested in it, but your e-mail should be a one or two short paragraph description of your experience.  All you have to do is convince me you're not a Baxter, and I'll forward it.  If you do send me your resume, or fail to put the right title - you go in the junk file.

So if you're a Web Analytics Manager in St Louis, send me an e-mail.

St Louis Free Job Postings Are Up

The Free Job Posting Blogs are up and mapped to the correct url's.  I'll be sending out e-mails to the appropriate companies and recruiters to start posting, along with a write-up of how to post, how to get candidates to respond, and basic rules.

    These are the sites:
    1) ASP Jobs.  <http://asp.stlrecruiting.com/>
    2. Java Jobs. <http://java.stlrecruiting.com/>
    3. Business Analyst Jobs.  <http://analyst.stlrecruiting.com/>
    4. Recruiter Jobs.  <http://recruiter.stlrecruiting.com/>
    5. Sales Jobs. <http://sales.stlrecruiting.com/>

As a recruiter, you need a log-in to post your positions, and I do require a direct contact for candidates.  Other than some basic posting instructions designed to help you, recruiters will have free reign.  You post your own jobs for free, and we create small, dedicated job boards around single topics.

I will be monitoring the boards, and making sure that no one is abusing them, but aside from selecting who gets to post, the rest is up to you.  The feed for the sites will also be sent to vertical search engines, so each job posting will be published nationally on the web, with locator information to break it down to your target area.

Do you know what else?  The postings are SEO optimized, so when someone types in your company name and the type of job they want - they'll go to your job posting.  I bet your current careers website isn't doing that.  Contact me for your invitation.

Free Job Postings for St Louis

I spent a small amount of time this weekend working on it - and the bare bones are up.  There are now five channels for free job postings for St Louis recruiters.

    Sales
    Recruiters
    ASP and .Net
    Java
    Business Analysts

I'm going to work on the domain names - probably turn them all into subdomains, but that means I have to change the settings on my stlrecruiting.com page parked on Pairnic to Custom DNS.

As you can see - these are really bare right now, but I will be fixing them up and writing out some instructions for each channel.

The basic rules are this -

    1) Follow the posting guidelines: (They are there to give you the best exposure)
    2) Provide a live contact: For this to work, high-quality job-seekers have to know this is a way to get straight to a real recruiter
    3) Candidates will be asked to put StlRecruiting as their e-mail title, so that you know that a targeted  resume is coming in.
    4) Comments and Trackbacks will be turned off.
    5) One link per post will be permitted to send back to your home page

You post your own jobs in the appropriate channels, and no one can edit them but you.  I'll send you a guest author login if you contact me.

(We're already the number three result for "free job postings St Louis.")

    Job Posting: Jr. Recruiter

The following is a job posting for iBridge Solutions.  If you contact them from this site, please let them know you came from StlRecruiting.com

iBridge Solutions, a locally owned and privately held IT Staffing company, is looking for bright, hard-working and experienced (1+ years) Junior IT Recruiters looking to make the next step in their career.  We want someone that has a solid understanding of the industry, the clients and the technology, but we also want someone that is interested in adopting our way of recruiting.

While we have no interest in micro-managing, we do have a specific process we follow that we’re not willing to compromise.  We feel our process will provide the best solutions our clients are looking for while also enhancing the Recruiter’s ability to maximize their earning potential.  All of our Senior Recruiters make in excess of $100k, with our top producers approaching and exceeding $150k.  We have high expectations of our Recruiters and hold them more accountable than most of the other shops in town, but we’ll pay you for it.

Another qualification that is a must around here is ‘thick-skin’. We like to have fun in the office and have a unique dynamic here that often involves a lot of good-natured ribbing.

    Interested parties should contact:

    Director of Recruiting
